Nutrition for Professionals
This two day, 18 credit-hour lecture series is once again being offered in many locations across the U.S. This course has been designed specifically for health and fitness professionals wishing to incorporate nutrition services into their wellness programs (see Lectures/Workshops).
The Nutrition for Professionals course provides particpants with 18 contact hours. Upon completion of the course students receive completion certificates (CECs and CEUs).
This course not only provides participants with CECs but also serves as a training program for completion of the Nutrition Specialist Credential through the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN). Students wishing to continue their career in nutrition may do so. The Nutrition Specialist Examination is available at the end of the two day course at a reduced cost of $125. Home Study Courses
Incorporating Nutrition
This 24 credit-hour home study course (audio/web) is similar to the lecture series - Nutrition for Professionals- and is also designed to educate health and fitness professionals on how to incorporate nutrition into their programs safely, professionally, and legally by adhering to all state licensure laws and the American Dietetics Association guidelines. This course includes a series of three lectures on CD and three workshop assignments for a total of 24 credit hours (see Incorporating Nutrition).
The home study course - Incorporating Nutrition provides participants with CECs and CEUs. Upon completion of the course students receive completion certificates. This program not only provides participants with CECs but also serves as a training program for completion of the Nutrition Specialist Credential through the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN). Students wishing to continue their career in nutrition may do so. The Nutrition Specialist Examination is available upon completion of the program at a reduced cost of $100. Essentials of Coaching for Wellness Professionals
This course (10 credit hours) is produced by Sara Hauber. Sara has designed "The Essentials of Coaching for Wellness Professionals" to introduce the wellness professional to the exciting and effective field of coaching. The course includes a CD with an audio and visual component, a workbook with 4 assignments, and a final course exam.
