Susan Burbridge

Management Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Burbridge
as the National Director for Exercise Physiology. Susan, the first MA certified
Muscle Activation Techniques Therapist (MATT), has been a highly regarded fitness
professional for over fourteen years, and has been a Senior-Level Instructor
for the National Academy Of Sports Medicine. In addition to her MATT certification,
Susan has attended the Masters Level Resistance Training Specialist Program
and is a certified RTS trainer. Susan continues to study biomechanics and the neuromechanical loop that greatly influences human movement. From her Jamaica Plain office, Susan uses Muscle Activation Techniques and Progressive Biomechanics to identify and treat weak neural links followed by specific reinforcement exercises based on the neuromuscular deficits resolved through MATT. Greg Salgueiro
Greg
Salgueiro is a registered dietitian through the American Dietetics Association
(CDR) and is licensed in the state of Rhode Island. His ADA registration is
recognized by all states in the U.S. Through tele-medicine, Greg is the Eastern
States Regional AASDN Professional for Lifestyle Management Associates. Greg is the Senior Project Manager at Pro-Fitness/HealthSouth. Greg has experience in corporate, as well as hospital based, fitness and wellness programming. He has performed Sports Nutrition and Weight Management workshops for the United States Coast Guard Academy, and works with local high school sports teams to help them fuel their bodies for optimal athletic performance.
Greg is an ACSM Certified Health/Fitness Instructor, an ACSM Certified Advanced Personal Trainer, and possesses a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. Greg completed Dietetic Internship at the Bronx VA Medical Center while simultaneously completing his Masters Degree at NYU.

Dawn Weatherwax
Dawn is a registered
dietitian (Licensed in Ohio) with a specialty in Sports Nutrition and she is
an Athletic Trainer with a Certification in Strength and Conditioning. Through
tele-medicine, Dawn is the Middle Eastern States Regional AASDN Professional.Dawn brings a unique understanding of the athlete's body and its nutritional needs to those interested in achieving specific performance goals and optimal health. She has worked extensively with professional and Olympic athletes, college, high school and recreational athletes. Clients include the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Cyclones, Hyde Park Wellness Center, and Acoria Eating Disorders Treatment Center. Dawn is also the co-author of the book The Official Snack Guide for Beleaguered Parents.

Joanna Sharp, MS
Joanna
is from Northborough, Massachusetts and has spent the last eight years in the
field of Exercise and Nutrition. After completing her undergraduate degree in
Biology, Joanna worked for two large corporate fitness centers in and around
the Boston area as a Sales and Corporate Account Manager. With a background
in personal training and her experience in the corporate venue, Joanna began
to notice the gap between certified fitness professionals and their ability
to coach clients on food and nutrition. She saw a unique opportunity to work
on bridging that gap by continuing her education in nutrition.Degrees and Certifications:

MS Food and Nutrition, Framingham State college.
Joanna is currently completing her Masters in Food and Nutrition at Framingham State College. As a graduate student, Joanna interned for Dr. Jane Pentz.
Jessica Hodge
Since 1998, Dr. Jessica Hodge has been teaching courses in food and nutrition
at Framingham State College. Her area of interests are nutritional biochemistry,
sports nutrition, aging and research. The courses she teaches correspond with
these interests, and her current research projects focus on the effects of exercise
in the elderly. Dr. Hodge's previous teaching experience was at Wilkes University
as an adjunct professor in the Chemistry Department where she taught numerous
labs. At Framingham State College, she has been involved in establishing the
Nutrition Power Stop at the Athletic and Recreation Center. The Nutrition Power
Stop provides nutritional and fitness information, fitness tests, and body composition
analysis. Other areas of interest at Framingham State College include assistance
with Science Olympics held at Framingham State College each spring, as well
as advising for the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education.Dr. Hodge is a personal trainer, and with her husband, jointly owns a health club for seniors. Biking, both road and mountain, are favorite activities. Dr. Hodge has biked through England, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Hiking and backpacking are also tops on her list, with favorite hikes in Norway, Sweden and Finland, the U.S. and Canadian Rockies, British Columbia, the West Coast, and of course, New England.
