The Business of Nutrition, produced by Greg
Salgueiro, has been designed to help fitness professionals feel more confident and capable in attracting new business. This course is a must for individuals serious
about earning an income when incorporating nutrition services into their wellness
program.
Greg Salgueiro is a registered dietitian through the
American Dietetics Association (CDR) and licensed in the state of Rhode Island.
Greg has experience in corporate, as well as hospital based, fitness and wellness
programming. He has performed Sports Nutrition and Weight Management workshops
for the United States Coast Guard Academy, and works with local high school
sports teams to help them fuel their bodies for optimal athletic performance.
Greg has taught at the university level and has his own successful nutrition
business.

Course Details: This course covers three key concepts. First, the importance of changing thoughts and defining what it is you want. Second, preparation ad understanding what it is that you offer. And third, attracting people and maintaining clients.
Course Content: This course includes one CD with an audio and visual component, a handbook, and a workbook with four assignments and a final course exam for those wishing to obtain CEC's.
Course Objectives:
- Section 1 – Changing your thoughts. Students learn how to view “selling” as a positive component to their business and to define the population they want to work with.
- Section 2 – What do you offer? Students develop the link between what they want and what they offer through preparation, research and presentation.
- Section 3 – How to attract and maintain clients. Students learn how to attract and maintain clients through questions, closing, and follow up.
